Jacque Montana is the founder of the high quality Jacque Straps. He was a fur trader and mountain man. His rugged individualism soon gave him a reputation of being a good man to do business with. Although Jacque did a bit of animal trapping in the early years, his humane side soon took control of his business sense and he tried a completely new concept. Jacque was the first person to see the need for alternative fabrics as the west would eventually run short of animal pelts.

What happened next changed the textile industry forever. Our Uncle Jacque had the intuitiveness to plant the hillside behind his home with nylon trees. He personally developed these nylon trees. It is from this grove that we get the material for our Jacque Straps.

Although Uncle Jacque has left us, we carry on his tradition of providing good quality and good value to our customers.

Our motto: “Once you go Jacque you’ll always be Bach!”

Jacque’s family tree has recently produced an unusual twist. It seems that Uncle Jacque had a cousin Jacque that settled in New Orleans. We recently uncovered his grandson and we are not proud. It seems that the New Orleans branch of the family is not as industrious as the Montana clan. Our long lost relative is none other that “Panama Jacque”. “PJ” is an unmotivated loser (musician) that now wants to get into the family business.

One day he was using one of our black Jacque Straps, PJ’s parrot “Peri” was sitting on PJ’s shoulder and added coloring to the strap by applying colorful bird droppings to it. It seems that the parrot had enjoyed an assortment of berries and grain earlier that day and produced the most unusual designs. The result was amazing! We now call the design a “Poo Perri” of color!

PJ then searched in every bar in the Keys, looking for a fabric manufacturer that could capture the artistic wonder created by his parrot. As a result of many months of research, PJ had completed his mission. (PJ feels compelled to continue his research for more designs). We think you will be quite pleased with the results of the “Panama Jacque” line of Jacque Straps.

These straps have colorful Hawaiian Shirt material hand sewn on top of the most comfortable strap in the galaxy. A great product! Our cousin also gave us a fine guitar polish. You will like the label as much as you like the polish.
